The Thing That Makes Weight Loss A Piece of Cake

Do you have parking karma like I do?

I used to joke that I had a bit of magic when it came to parking. But it's not magic. It’s that I act in a way that reflects my belief that I’ll find the perfect spot, and guess what? I usually do.

Now, let's talk about weight loss.

For the longest time, I believed I was a yo-yo dieter. I’d go from one restrictive diet to another, lose some weight, and then gain it all back. I didn’t have a plan for keeping the weight off.

Slip-ups became reasons to quit. What I was doing was making choices that reflected my belief that I was a yo-yo.

But that changed when I started losing weight in a balanced way.

I began to collect evidence that I could lose weight and keep it off by eating in a way I could maintain. I started to develop confidence in myself.

Eventually I became someone who believes I'll always maintain a healthy weight. And, my behaviors naturally reflect this new identity.

An overeat doesn’t derail me like it used to. I simply return to my healthy habits.

Whatever identity you hold right now, you only believe it because you have proof. The most practical way to change who you are is to change what you do.

Each time you choose not to snack while watching TV, or decide to skip that second serving, you’re not only creating results but also developing the belief that you can trust yourself.

As new habits accumulate, the evidence of your new identity mounts up, and the story you tell yourself changes as well.

Here’s the best part: when your behavior and identity are aligned, you’re no longer chasing behavior change. You’re simply acting like the person you already believe yourself to be.

So, what do you think you are?

If you’re ready to start believing in the best version of yourself and align your habits with that belief, I’m here to help you every step of the way.
