Unleash the Magic: Two Questions to Ask Yourself
What if two simple questions could make all the difference in your weight loss journey?
Am I hungry?
Have I had enough?
Now, imagine only eating when you're genuinely hungry and stopping when you've had enough. How much less might you eat? 5%? 10%? Maybe even 20%?
The impact on your weight could be pretty incredible—and you wouldn’t even need to change what you’re eating. Magical, right?
People often think they need to cut out their favorite foods and go on strict diets to lose weight, but that can backfire, leaving you feeling deprived and eventually giving up.
The truth is, there are so many strategies that can help you lose weight without giving up the foods you love. Here are a few tips to make stopping at enough a little easier:
Watch for physical signs of fullness. If you notice yourself leaning back in your chair or sighing, you’ve likely had enough.
Savor every bite. Really engage your senses—what does your food look like? How does it smell? How do the flavors and textures change with each bite? Are you truly enjoying it?
Pause halfway through your meal. Reassess your hunger. If you’re still hungry, eat half of what’s left, then check in with your body again.
Pro tip: Start by simply noticing when you've had enough without the pressure to stop eating immediately. This awareness alone can be a game-changer.
There are plenty of strategies like this to make your journey smoother and more enjoyable, and I'll keep sharing them with you in these Friday emails.
Abracadabra! Here’s to a week of making progress feel a little more magical,
