Hacks to Enjoy the Holidays Without Sacrificing Your Health Goals

With Halloween just around the corner, we’re officially kicking off the holiday season – a time filled with celebrations, family gatherings, and, of course, ALL the delicious food!

If you’re feeling a mix of excitement and dread, let’s flip the script. This season can be joyful and leave you feeling good. Truly!

A few things to consider as we dive in:

There are 64 days between Halloween and New Year’s -

Rather than viewing these two months as a total free-for-all, think about how many days are actually “special.” Most of them? They’re regular days where you can keep up the habits that already make you feel good. That small shift in perspective alone can be a game changer.

Savor, don’t sacrifice -

When you have those holiday treats—whether it’s your favorite candy, corn bread, or cookies—remember that those first few bites are usually the most satisfying. Enjoy those bites fully. More doesn’t make the fun last longer; in fact, stopping when you’re satisfied lets you truly enjoy it without the icky overstuffed feeling.

One choice doesn’t decide the next -

Maybe you go back for seconds (or thirds 🤭) or have an extra slice of pie. No problem! Overeating one meal doesn’t mean your whole day is “blown.” Just keep moving forward choosing your best step for the next meal or day.

These are just some of the strategies I share with my clients, and I can help you too!

Imagine heading into the new year feeling like you’re already ahead, not playing catch-up. You can enjoy the treats, the moments, and yes—even the wellness wins that keep you on track.

Here's to a holiday season that feels as good as it tastes!
