Want to lose weight without changing what you eat? Here’s how!

Yesterday I was having lunch with a dear friend.

I noticed I was getting full and felt satisfied so I left a few bites behind.

My friend commented about how I was “being so good” by not cleaning my plate.

That got me thinking.

When I consider the challenges my clients face, managing portions is amongst the most common.

Personally, I discovered that managing my portions was a real game changer.

So, I encourage YOU to consider this:

Simply adjusting your portions is a fantastic strategy for losing weight.

Imagine what would happen if you consistently ate a little bit less than you’re eating now.

Maybe you wouldn’t even need to change the TYPES of food you had?

Do the math.

It’s a SIMPLE solution, but I understand it's not necessarily EASY.

There are a number of reasons for this.  The one I want to help you with today is reconnecting to your hunger signals.

As babies we naturally stop when we’ve had enough. Over time we lose that.  How much we eat becomes totally disconnected from our hunger.

We’re told to finish our plates "because there are starving children"...

We don’t like the idea of letting anything go to waste…

We think if it’s healthy it doesn’t matter how much we eat…

That's why I'm giving you 3 strategies to help you reconnect to your hunger cues, reduce your portion sizes and get the scale moving.

See if you can catch yourself after you’ve been eating for a while doing any of these things:

  1. Sort of leaning back in your chair.

  2. Taking a little sigh.

  3. Wondering if you've had enough.

Those are sure signs that you don’t need anymore.

Full disclosure here -- hungry or not, I can finish what’s on my plate without batting an eye.

But, when I do pay attention and opt to stop eating when I’ve had enough, it makes a big difference.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

You might be surprised at how much these small changes can add up to big results!
